Concrete paving is the cheapest option when it comes to choosing between concrete, natural stone and pavers, and laying it with a little practice is easy. Its uniform dimensions allow for quick installation in the composite. The disadvantage is its uniform color. Especially large, monochrome areas usually look boring. You can counteract this by combining two different shades into patterns.
But now for relocation. You will need chute tools or a mini excavator, paving hammer and a grinder with a 230 mm carbide blade, a rake plate folding rule, tape measure and spirit level as well as at least two long aluminum strips, a chalk line and a trowel. Auxiliary materials are coarse gravel and fine chippings, possibly deep shelves and weed fleece.
Step 1: Planning
Decide on the shape of your path. Concrete paving is relatively easy to cut, so you can also insert bows in your path. Design z. B. the edges differently colored. For straight lines, you should align the width of the pavement with the dimensions of the stones to reduce the amount of cutting work.
Step 2: excavate and substructure erreichen You reach frost resistance if you excavate the path 40cm deep. This is followed by 5cm coarse gravel, the weed fleece and again 20cm coarse gravel. Both layers are thoroughly compacted with the vibrating plate.
Step 3: Making the edges
To make sure that your concrete pavement is locked at the outer edges without tilting, equip it with low rungs in lean concrete. A second possibility is after laying the plaster in a slanted banquet of lean concrete.
Step 4: Laying
Apply approx. 8cm fine gravel to the base. Pull this layer flat and with two percent of gradient between the two aluminum strips. The height, including the thickness of the concrete pavers, must be two centimeters above ground level.
Your laying bed is ready, in which you now lay the concrete paving stones along the measured chalk line. Check again and again the evenness with the spirit level, but also the uniform design of the joints.
